A new budget airline, Fly2Galicia, is scheduled to begin flights from Santiago de Compostela’s Rosalia de Castro airport in northwestern Spain from December 1. The airline will offer services to eight destinations across Europe, with one-way tickets starting from €21.50 (£18.40).
Destinations include Zaragoza, Alicante, Granada, Milan, Venice, Munich, Prague, and Brussels. The cheapest routes available on the airline's website are domestic flights between Santiago de Compostela and Alicante, Zaragoza, or Granada.
Fly2Galicia will initially use a plane owned by another unnamed European carrier, a common practice for startup airlines to avoid upfront debts. The airline has posted a job advertisement for its own cabin crew.
Fares include an “Economy Go” option, which allows for an 8kg cabin bag. Higher fare tiers, such as Economy Plus, Economy Premium, and Business Premium, offer additional benefits like more baggage, better seats, or food and drink.
