A new sleeper train service is scheduled to launch in spring 2028, connecting Belgium, the Netherlands, and Sweden. Railway company European Sleeper announced the expansion of its overnight train network into Scandinavia.
The new route will link Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Malmo. European Sleeper stated that this service will significantly expand its network towards northern Europe, offering overnight connections between these major destinations.
The service is being developed in partnership with German railway operator RDC. Plans include departures from Brussels and Malmo from 7pm, arriving at the other end of the route at 10am the following morning. Details regarding the specific days of the week the route will operate have not yet been announced.
Accommodation options are expected to include seats, couchettes, and sleeper compartments. Deluxe sleeper options, such as double beds and private en-suite bathrooms, are also under consideration for the route. Prices for the new service have not yet been announced.
European Sleeper also has a third route, connecting Brussels to Milan, scheduled to launch on 9 September. Additionally, preparations are underway for a Brussels-Barcelona overnight connection, also due to launch in 2028.
