Several new or recently renovated self-catering accommodations across the UK are available for autumn escapes. Among these, seven new cabins have launched beside the lake at Basecamp North Lakes in Troutbeck, Lake District. These cabins are equipped with shower rooms, galley kitchens, wood-burning stoves, and private outdoor baths, each sleeping up to four people.
In Powys, Mid Wales, Ty Bach, a recently launched holiday cottage, is now available. This smaller of two cottages on a former village school site was empty for over three decades before its current owners undertook an eight-year restoration.
Montagu Cottage in Drumlanrig, Dumfries and Galloway, a 19th-century building that served as the laundry for the Queensberry estate, has been renovated for modern guests. It features a peppermint cream colour scheme, three bedrooms, a clawfoot bath, and a double-aspect wood burner.
Other options include Pen Bonc, a newly renovated former fisher's cottage in Moelfre, Anglesey, and Heronden Lodge, a recently spruced-up red-brick cottage in Eastry, Kent. Peatlands Retreat in Ballybogey, County Antrim, offers two shepherds' huts, while Pippin Cottage in Bude, Cornwall, has opened a new custom-built sauna and cold plunge this autumn.
Molly's Cabin, one of four holiday cottages at Bonington Farm in Sutton Bonington, Nottinghamshire, is set to undergo a gentle refurbishment.
