New York Knicks pause ticket sales after pricing error

The New York Knicks have paused individual game ticket sales for the 2026-27 season due to a pricing mistake. Tickets for the 20 October season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers were listed at over $1,000.

  • Individual game ticket sales for the New York Knicks have been paused.
  • The get-in price for the 20 October season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers exceeded $1,000.
  • Madison Square Garden Sports will restart sales with new prices and refund those who already purchased tickets.

The New York Knicks announced on Thursday they are pausing individual game ticket sales for the 2026-27 season. This decision follows a mistake that led to tickets being listed at prices considered too high.

Individual game tickets went on sale this week, with the get-in price for the 20 October season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers reaching more than $1,000. Madison Square Garden Sports stated they are "rolling back to last year’s prices plus an average increase of 12%."

Sales are expected to restart shortly, and fans who have already purchased individual tickets will be refunded the difference. Season ticket purchases, which began months ago, were not affected by this issue.

What this means for you: If you purchased individual New York Knicks tickets at the higher prices, you will be refunded the difference.
