The soundtrack for the sci-fi co-op puzzle game 'Orbitals', which launched earlier this month for the Nintendo Switch 2, has now been released on streaming services. The game, developed by Shapefarm, is set in a retro anime world where players take on the roles of Maki and Omura, two explorers.
The full 41-song soundtrack, created by composer duo Falk & Klou, can be streamed on Spotify and purchased via Bandcamp. A 7-inch vinyl is also available for pre-order through Laced Audio, featuring the main theme 'Accelerating Destiny (加速する運命)' and credits theme 'Heart To Heart', with karaoke instrumental versions on the B-side.
Falk & Klou, consisting of synth expert Fredrik and Mando Diao bassist Carl-Johan, created the soundtrack with the vision of "what if the ‘80s never ended?" The album is described as channeling classic 1980s sci-fi aesthetics through its melodies, synthwork, and nostalgic soundscapes.
