The upcoming third season of HBO's 'The Last Of Us' adaptation has announced new cast members, including two actors from the original video game. Laura Bailey, who voiced Abby in 'The Last Of Us Part Two', will now portray Elizabeth, the leader of the Seraphites cult. Ian Alexander, who voiced Lev in the game, will play Paco, a character described as one half of the 'Heroes Of The Highway' duo.
Other new additions to the cast for the final season include Clea Duvall, Patrick Wilson, Jason Ritter, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Michelle Mao, and Kyriana Kratter.
The HBO adaptation has previously faced criticism for recasting game actors and for some changes made in season two, which saw a 55 per cent drop in viewership. Ellie actor Bella Ramsey reportedly told critics not to watch season three, which is expected to be the adaptation's final chapter and is set to launch in 2027.
Earlier this month, 'The Last Of Us' creator Neil Druckmann stated that game studio Naughty Dog did not have a creative role in the third season's direction, though he hinted at new projects within the universe.
