New Scotland head coach Sebastien Pocognoli is set to manage his first game at Hampden on Tuesday against Switzerland. This follows an encouraging goalless draw in his initial match away to Slovenia.

The Belgian coach selected eight uncapped players for his first squad, with Robbie Ure and Stephen Welsh making the starting XI in Ljubljana. Ben Gannon-Doak and Kieron Bowie were the only substitutes used in the Slovenia game, where Scotland dominated the second half but could not break the deadlock.

Pocognoli's defensive strategy, which saw Scotland use three centre-backs and a high line, is unlikely to change early in his reign despite some initial concerns. He stated after the Slovenia game, "Clean sheet, that's also positive, but we want to win."

The match against Switzerland is considered a significant step up in opposition. The game will be broadcast live on the BBC.
