Concerns are growing for two girls, Angelica, 12, and Verity, 11, who were reported missing over the weekend. They were last seen in the Newbold area of Rugby in the early hours of Sunday, according to Det Ch Supt Jon Belcher of Warwickshire Police.
Police are "working round the clock" to find the relatives, carrying out house-to-house inquiries, CCTV checks, and digital media searches. The force is also in contact with Devon and Cornwall Police, as the girls previously lived in Cornwall.
Det Ch Supt Belcher stated that as time has passed since they were last seen, concerns have increased. He is now asking the public for help, urging anyone who sees the girls to call 999. The force has thanked the public for offers of help but asked that no unofficial searches be conducted, as untrained individuals could hinder specialist investigators.
Police are becoming more concerned as time goes by, and have asked the public to refrain from speculating about the case. The girls may have changed clothes since their disappearance.
