Police close Clarkson's Farm sheep theft case after miscount

Thames Valley Police have closed an investigation into the alleged theft of 11 sheep from Jeremy Clarkson's farm after discovering the animals were miscounted and not missing.

  • Jeremy Clarkson reported 11 sheep missing from his Oxfordshire farm.
  • Thames Valley Police investigated the claim.
  • Police concluded the sheep were not stolen but had been miscounted by farm staff.

Thames Valley Police have concluded an investigation into the alleged theft of 11 sheep from Jeremy Clarkson's Oxfordshire farm, determining that the animals were not stolen but had been miscounted.

The case was closed after all the sheep were accounted for, a representative told the BBC. Mr Clarkson, 66, had previously claimed the livestock were missing while checking his flock with co-star Kaleb Cooper.

In September, Mr Clarkson had urged those he believed responsible to return the sheep, stating they were worth over £2,000. He speculated the alleged theft might have occurred when filming for Prime Video's Clarkson's Farm was paused.
