Aston Villa has brought in 293.1m euros (£251m) from departures this summer, according to Transfermarkt. Manchester City has generated 278.6m euros, and Newcastle United 275.5m euros. Monaco, Chelsea's 321m euros in 2025-26, and Atletico Madrid's 314m euros in 2019-20 are currently the only clubs above them.
Villa is currently closest to Monaco's record, with Morgan Rogers' £117m (138m euros) move to Chelsea accounting for a significant portion of their total. Ezri Konsa, Youri Tielemans, and Lucas Digne were also among those who left. This activity has left Villa with a positive transfer balance of 132.6m euros, against a backdrop of financial pressure, including a 22.5m euros fine from UEFA in June for a breach of squad-cost rules.
