Premier League clubs have been busy on deadline day, securing a number of key transfers to strengthen their squads. Brighton has signed midfielder Femi Azeez from Millwall for a reported initial fee of £12.5m, which could rise to £15m. Azeez, a versatile midfielder, topped the Championship last season for open-play crosses and expected assists from crosses.
Aston Villa has brought in 18-year-old Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG for £47m. Mbaye has already gained significant international experience, featuring in both the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.
Manchester City has made a substantial move, signing Iliman Ndiaye from Everton for £65m. Ndiaye ranked second in the Premier League last season for both dribbles attempted and completed. Newcastle United also secured Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille for £51m, a versatile player known for his pace and ball-carrying ability.
Sunderland has made two additions, bringing in Kevin Danso from Spurs on a loan deal with a buy obligation, and Malick Fofana from Lyon for £30m. Danso, a deep defender, ranked first in the Premier League last season for clearances and headed clearances. Fofana, a dynamic forward, is hoped to return to his previous form after an ankle injury.
