Preston North End are reportedly close to appointing Bradford City manager Graham Alexander, according to BBC Radio Leeds. Bradford City confirmed on Thursday that they had "reluctantly" given the 54-year-old permission to speak to the Championship club.
Preston North End are currently second bottom in the Championship, having sacked manager Paul Heckingbottom earlier this month after losing six of their first seven league games.
Alexander, who played 372 league games for Preston across two spells, has guided Bradford City to the top of League One this season with five wins from their opening seven matches. He took over at Valley Parade in November 2023 and secured promotion from League Two in his first full season.
