The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children, attended some of the final sporting events at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. They watched the netball semi-finals at the OVO Hydro, where New Zealand secured a 61-54 victory over England.

The family then proceeded to the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, where they spoke with British cyclist Laura Kenny and sat behind Olympic cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy. While in Scotland, the couple are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay and met athletes, staff, and volunteers.

Princess Catherine and Charlotte also took photographs with the Team Scotland netball players. The Games, a scaled-down version with 215 medals across 10 sports, hosted a record 47 para-sports events. Glasgow stepped in to host for the second time in eight years after the Australian state of Victoria withdrew due to rising costs.
