Europe's most prestigious race, the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, is being held today, 4 October 2026, at Longchamp. The race, featuring 16 horses, is scheduled for 15:05.

Last year's winner, Daryz, is competing again, aiming to be the first male horse to win back-to-back races since 1978. Daryz won last year in what was described as a very fast time despite soft conditions.

Among the contenders, Thundering On, a filly trained by Joseph O’Brien, is an each-way selection. She won the Oaks and a Group 2 race at the Curragh recently, and will be ridden by Pierre-Charles Boudot.

Other races at Longchamp today include the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere, the Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp, and the Prix de l'Opera Longines.
