The Property Ombudsman (TPO) has introduced a new online portal for estate and letting agents. This self-service platform aims to simplify how members manage their TPO membership.
The launch comes as TPO reported a significant increase in complaints, with 55% more received in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period in the previous year. This highlights a growing demand for dispute resolution within the residential property sector.
The new portal allows agents to track the progress of complaints, update their business details, download membership certificates, and access TPO's Codes of Practice, compliance guidance, and complaints handling templates from a single online hub. Lesley Horton, the chief Property Ombudsman, stated the portal is an important step in making support simpler, faster, and more accessible for members, providing them with greater visibility and practical tools.
