Paris St-Germain are setting their sights on a historic third consecutive Champions League title this season. The back-to-back European champions could join Real Madrid as the only teams to achieve this feat.

Their season kicks off with the Uefa Super Cup against Europa League winners Aston Villa in Salzburg on Wednesday at 20:00 BST.

PSG will compete in six competitions this season, including the Uefa Super Cup, Trophee des Champions, Champions League, Ligue 1, French Cup, and Fifa Intercontinental Cup. Last season, they secured a joint record five trophies, missing out only on the French Cup.

The team has maintained a consistent core, with 10 outfield players who started both of their Champions League finals remaining at the club. Recent summer signings include Monaco midfielder Maghnes Akliouche, Aston Villa left-back Lucas Digne, and 18-year-old Milan goalkeeper Alessandro Longoni.

Departures so far include Lee Kang-in to Atletico Madrid and Goncalo Ramos to AC Milan. Bradley Barcola could potentially move to Liverpool in a deal reportedly worth around £100m.
