Queens Of The Stone Age have announced their new album, 'Perfecth', will be released on October 30 via Matador Records. This follows their 2023 album, 'In Times New Roman'.
The band has also released a new single, 'Insignificant Other', described by frontman Josh Homme as a song about distance and the feeling of someone vanishing. This track follows the previously released 'Easy Street'.
The album title 'Perfecth' was created by Homme, who stated that "Nothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be 'perfecth'." The album's central theme is inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery, and explores different forms of love.
'Perfecth' features nine songs, including a re-recording of 'Sunday' from Homme's 2016 collaborative album with Iggy Pop, 'Post Pop Depression'. The album was produced by Homme and bassist Michael 'Mikey Shoes' Shuman, with sessions recorded in various locations including New Orleans and Los Angeles.
