The Royal Air Force (RAF) has temporarily halted training on its Hawk jets following a crash involving a Hawk T2 aircraft in North Wales. The incident saw two pilots eject from the plane moments before it crashed and caught fire.
North Wales Police confirmed that the pilots, who were flying a training aircraft, are being treated for minor injuries. The crash occurred at Pencarnisiog, near the RAF Valley base on Anglesey, from which the Hawk T2 aircraft had been flying.
An investigation into the crash is currently underway. The Hawk T2 is a two-seat training jet used for advanced jet training, designed with controls similar to the Typhoon fighter jet.
