The Reform Party's funding is reportedly under police investigation. This follows donations received from Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo, described as crypto billionaires.
Richard Tice, representing Reform, defended the donations, stating that no rules had been broken. He claimed that the donors, Harborne and Delo, were "patriots" with no demands attached to their contributions.
Harborne reportedly became a Thai citizen in 2011, while Delo was previously convicted in the US for failing to comply with money-laundering laws before receiving a pardon. Tice was unable to provide details on when either individual had returned to the UK or if they paid UK tax.
Nigel Farage later indicated that the donations from Delo and Harborne might not meet the deadlines for new legislation currently passing through parliament. He attributed this potential issue to the government's regulations rather than the party's actions.
