Cristiano Ronaldo found the net for Al-Nassr in an AFC Champions League match that saw an hour's delay due to a missile alert in Riyadh. The Saudi Pro League champions secured a 3-1 victory over Uzbekistan's Neftchi Fergana on Monday.
Kick-off was postponed after Saudi Arabia's Civil Defence issued a safety warning just 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Explosions were heard in the capital on Monday night, with the Saudi-led military coalition stating a ballistic missile had been intercepted and destroyed.
Once the match got underway, Ange Postecoglou's Al-Nassr took the lead through Angelo in the 33rd minute, with Ronaldo doubling their advantage before half-time. Neftchi pulled a goal back, but an own goal sealed the win for the hosts after Neftchi were reduced to 10 men.
Ronaldo also scored on Friday in his return to club football, having left the Portugal national team camp during the Nations League break due to limited playing opportunities.
