Kaspar Holten's 2014 staging of Mozart and Da Ponte's opera, Don Giovanni, has been revived at the Royal Opera House. Greg Eldridge has directed the revival, which features Anja Vang Kragh's semi-stylised costumes and Es Devlin's Escher-inspired revolving set, placing the action between 1850 and 1900.

The production incorporates Luke Halls' video design, which projects a catalogue of sexual conquests during the overture and uses constant projections throughout. Bruno Poet's lighting design is credited with ensuring these visuals rarely distract from the performance.

The staging focuses on the title character's psychology, with ghostly exes haunting the Don as his grasp on reality diminishes. Gordon Bintner plays Giovanni, while Roberto Tagliavini performs as Leporello. Aigul Akhmetshina delivers a standout performance as Donna Elvira, with Rachel Willis-Sørensen as Donna Anna, Bogdan Volkov as Don Ottavio, Giulia Semenzato as Zerlina, Dingle Yandell as Masetto, and Andreas Bauer Kanabas as the Commendatore. Stefano Montanari conducts the score.
