The Royal Shakespeare Company's (RSC) new all-male production of William Shakespeare's 'As You Like It', directed by Daniel Evans, experienced a significant technical difficulty on its opening night. The show, staged at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, was paused for over an hour to resolve the issue.

Despite the delay, the staging is described as ravishing, featuring stunning visual effects. The production includes a WWE-style wrestling match in the court scenes and an exquisite set by Anisha Fields, which transitions from a severe court to the verdant hills of Arden, depicted as rural Wales.

US screen star Jonathan Groff, known for his role in 'Hamilton', plays Rosalind, while Fisayo Akinade is cast as Celia. The all-male casting is noted for bringing depth and subtlety to the play's themes, offering a nod to Elizabethan theatre while also presenting a contemporary interpretation.
