  • Yemen's Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for the strikes and warned against using Saudi airports.

King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has been hit by a second strike in as many days, according to officials. A Saudi military spokesman stated that a projectile struck the airport on Sunday, resulting in a fire in one of its passenger halls and causing injuries, as confirmed by Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority.

This incident follows a strike on the same airport a day earlier, which killed 13 people and injured 308 others. Yemen's Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for these attacks and have issued warnings to airlines and passengers against using Saudi Arabian airports and airspace.

The Houthis have indicated their targets are in response to Saudi Arabia's support for government forces in Yemen's civil war and an air strike on Sanaa airport. The UK Foreign Office advises against all travel to parts of Saudi Arabia, including areas within 10km (6.2 miles) of the border with Yemen.
