Uruguayan striker Sebastián Abreu holds the official Guinness World Record for playing with the most professional clubs, having competed for 31 different teams across his 26-year career. Abreu, who began his playing career in 1995 and retired in 2021, is currently the manager of Tijuana.

However, an unofficial record is held by Jefferson Louis, who has played for 51 clubs over a 28-year career. Meanwhile, 45-year-old Derek Asamoah has recently joined Whitstable Town, marking his 19th different club.
