Stacey Dooley, the 39-year-old broadcaster, began her career working as a shop assistant after leaving school at 15. Her path into television started in 2007 when she participated in the BBC reality series 'Blood, Sweat and T-Shirts'.
This initial experience led to the series 'Stacey Dooley Investigates' and established her career as a presenter of hard-hitting documentaries. In 2018, she received the One World Media award for a confrontation with an Islamic State soldier and was also awarded an MBE for services to broadcasting.
Dooley has recently completed three new investigative films for the BBC and currently presents the BBC series 'Clickbait Clinic'. She lives in Merseyside with dancer Kevin Clifton, whom she met on 'Strictly Come Dancing', and their daughter.
