Official statistics detailing households in receipt of Support for Mortgage Interest (SMI) loans have transitioned to a biannual publication schedule. This change took effect after September 2025, prior to which the statistics were released quarterly.
The data, available in Stat-Xplore, provides insights into the number of households currently receiving SMI support, as well as the total number who have received these loans. The statistics are categorised by quarter, country, region, and qualifying benefit.
