Reigning world champions Alphonce Simbu and Peres Jepchirchir are in the elite line-up. Ethiopia's Sisay Lemma, a former Boston and London Marathon winner, headlines the men's field, while Jepchirchir is the favourite in the women's race.
The route starts on Miller Street in North Sydney, crosses the Harbour Bridge and finishes by the Sydney Opera House. The wheelchair events begin at 6.15am local time, with the elite races at 6.30am and mass participation starts rolling from 6.32am.
