System Of A Down are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their second studio album, 'Toxicity', which was originally released on 4 September 2001. To mark the occasion, the band has announced a new 25th-anniversary edition reissue of the album.
The CD reissue will feature new cover artwork and a hidden track, previously known to fans as 'Arto', which has now been officially titled 'Der Voghormia', after a traditional Armenian hymn. The vinyl reissue is a special colour edition and includes a bonus 7” with the song 'Johnny', a track previously only found on rare special editions of the album.
Accompanying the reissue is an exclusive merch capsule. This collection includes vinyl and CDs, T-shirts, skate decks, and ashtrays. Notably, it features a recreation of a T-shirt given to attendees of the band's 2001 album release party, which was reportedly shut down by police at the time. Other items in the collection include 'Chop Suey!' Chinese takeout earrings, a compact mirror, and new T-shirt and hoodie designs.
