Sally-Anne Bowen, a 65-year-old former chemistry teacher, has been found guilty of indecently assaulting two teenage pupils. A jury at Harrow Crown Court convicted her of seven counts of indecent assault on Thursday.
The assaults took place in the late 1980s at Christ's College, an all-boys school in Finchley, north London. The pupils were aged approximately 14 to 15 at the time, and Bowen was in her mid-20s.
During the trial, one complainant stated he had sex with the teacher "about 20 or 30 times" over several months, visiting her at home and considering her his girlfriend. Bowen, of Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, had claimed the allegations were a "total fabrication" and cited an undiagnosed medical condition from the late 1980s that made sexual intercourse difficult.
Bowen has been granted bail and is scheduled to be sentenced on November 20.
