Two killed in 'violent incident' at school near Berlin

Two people, including an 18-year-old student, have died in an incident at a school in Gosen-Neu Zittau, Germany. A 19-year-old man has been arrested.

Two people have died following a violent incident at a school in Gosen-Neu Zittau, near Berlin. The victims include an 18-year-old secondary school student and a 30-year-old man who reportedly intervened, according to local media.

Brandenburg police confirmed on social media that a male suspect has been arrested. He is reportedly 19 years old and believed to be the ex-boyfriend of the 18-year-old victim, Maz Online reported.

The managing director of the private Docemus school, Michael Kunz, stated that classes will be cancelled on Friday. However, the school will remain open to provide a safe space for students.
