The fourth season finale of the popular series Ted Lasso, which aired on Wednesday, brought about a significant reshuffle in the coaching staff at AFC Richmond. Ted Lasso, portrayed by Jason Sudeikis, transitioned from managing the club's women's team, the Lady Greyhounds, to an assistant manager role alongside Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt).

Alice Chilton (Tanya Reynolds) has taken over as manager of the Lady Greyhounds. Meanwhile, former Richmond player and coach Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) has accepted a position as Chelsea's new manager, leaving the men's team without a head coach.

Brendan Hunt, who is also a co-creator, executive producer, and writer for the series, revealed that Ted's decision to step down was a long-planned development, desired by Jason Sudeikis from the beginning of the writers' room. Hunt also stated that there is currently no indication of a fifth season for the show.
