Tom Morello, guitarist for Rage Against The Machine, has announced his new solo album, 'Everyone Gets Everything They Want', which is scheduled for release on September 25 via Mom + Pop Music. Alongside the album announcement, Morello has also shared a new single titled 'Date Night'.
The album will feature collaborations with various artists, including Irish rap trio Kneecap on the track 'Unconquered' and Ohio metalcore band Beartooth on 'Everything Burns'. System Of A Down's Serj Tankian and Morello's 15-year-old son, Roman Morello, appear on the track 'Adjourn It', with Roman also holding writing credits on five of the album's songs.
'Date Night' tells the story of Dutch resistance fighters Truus and Freddie Oversteegen and Hannie Schaft, who undertook espionage, sabotage, and assassination missions against Nazis during the Second World War. Morello described the song as a "which side are you on?" track, noting that Roman Morello wrote the main guitar riff.
The album, produced by Tyler Smyth, Carl Restivo, Zakk Cervini, Dan Carey, and Sam Nelson Harris, is billed as Morello's first solo rock album. Morello previously teased the record in 2024, discussing his collaboration with Roman on 'Soldier In The Army Of Love'.
