Tottenham Fail to Score in Fourth Consecutive League Game

Tottenham Hotspur have yet to score a goal after four Premier League games, a first in the club's history at the start of a league season, following a 0-0 draw against Everton.

  • Tottenham have not scored in their first four Premier League games this season.
  • This is the first time in the club's history they have failed to score in the opening four league matches.
  • Tottenham spent £300m on squad overhaul during the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are still searching for their first league goal of the season after a 0-0 draw against Everton. This marks the fourth consecutive Premier League game without scoring, a run unprecedented in the club's history at the start of a league season.

The club, which spent £300m on overhauling its squad in the summer, managed only a couple of shots on target against Everton. Mateus Fernandes's shot at the start of the second half was met with ironic cheers from the South Stand, contrasting with the previous weekend's 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest where they failed to register any shots on target.

Everton, who remain unbeaten, had significant chances in the second half through Thierno Barry, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and former Spurs winger Brennan Johnson. The visiting team defended well and were considered full value for the draw, with some suggesting they deserved to win.

Tottenham's home league record since November 2024 stands at P35 W5 D10 L20. Following the final whistle, the Spurs crowd expressed their frustration with booing.
