Tottenham secure first point of season in goalless draw at Nottingham Forest

Tottenham Hotspur earned their first Premier League point of the season with a 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest, though they remain without a win after a significant summer spend.

  • Tottenham drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest, securing their first point of the Premier League season.
  • Spurs have not scored in their first three games of a season for the first time since 1974/75.
  • Nottingham Forest had a goal disallowed by VAR in the second half due to a handball.

Tottenham Hotspur have finally got off the mark in the Premier League, securing a point in a 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest. The result, however, means Roberto De Zerbi's new-look side are still searching for their first win of the season, following earlier defeats to Brentford and Newcastle.

Spurs, who spent almost £400m in the summer transfer window, are now without a goal in their opening three league games, a first since the 1974/75 season. Their frustrations were nearly compounded when Forest had a goal controversially disallowed by VAR in the second half, after Neco Williams' effort was ruled to have come off his arm.

Forest, also under new boss Oliver Glasner, are similarly awaiting their first victory. Chelsea loanee Mykhailo Mudryk made his first appearance for Spurs in 646 days following an overturned drugs ban, with Dominic Solanke heading over late on in Tottenham's closest attempt to snatch a winner.
