Toulouse secured their third successive Betfred Super League victory, fending off a remarkable comeback attempt from Hull FC. The French side established a commanding 30-0 lead in the first half, ultimately winning 44-30.

Hull FC, who were well below par in the opening 40 minutes, conceded five tries without reply. Despite a much-improved second-half performance, scoring three converted tries in eight minutes to reduce the deficit to 12 points, they were unable to fully repair the damage.

Harvie Hill's yellow card for striking Lambert Belmas, followed by a try from Cesar Rouge, halted Hull's momentum. Olly Ashall-Bott also scored for Toulouse on his return from injury. For Hull, Aidan Sezer and Lewis Martin both scored twice, with Logan Moy adding another try.

Toulouse now sit eighth in the Super League table, moving above Catalans Dragons, though this could change if Catalans beat York Knights on Saturday. Hull FC are one of four teams level on 14 points at the bottom of the table, with their superior points difference placing them 11th. They will conclude their campaign against Leeds Rhinos on 11 September.
