Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor has announced the start of transfer negotiations with Mohamed Salah, with the club chair expressing hopes to sign the Egypt forward later this week. Salah, who is currently a free agent, is anticipated to arrive in Istanbul for a medical examination on Wednesday.
Trabzonspor chair Ertugrul Dogan stated that while the transfer is not yet complete, Salah is expected to travel to Trabzon to sign with the club after his medical. The contract signing is likely to occur on Thursday, according to Dogan.
Salah departed Liverpool this summer after a nine-year tenure, during which he scored 257 goals in 442 appearances. He previously won the Premier League twice and the Champions League once with the club. Last season, Salah recorded seven goals and seven assists in 27 league matches.
