Trent Rockets have moved to the top of The Hundred men's competition table after beating Manchester Super Giants by six wickets at Old Trafford. Opener Finn Allen struck an unbeaten 72 from 35 balls, including 11 fours and two sixes, to lead the Rockets to victory while chasing a target of 138.
The Rockets reached 140-4 with 13 balls remaining. Sam Billings was the next-highest scorer for the Rockets with 26, and Mitchell Santner contributed an unbroken 24, hitting the winning four.
For Manchester Super Giants, Jos Buttler top-scored with an unbeaten 55 from 37 balls. He was part of an 81-run partnership with Leus du Plooy, who scored 40 not out from 28 balls, helping their side reach 137-3.
The win puts Trent Rockets four points clear at the top of the standings, with Manchester Super Giants now in second place.
