Trent Rockets face a tense wait to determine their automatic qualification for The Hundred final after suffering a six-wicket defeat against Southern Brave. The Rockets were unable to defend their total of 158-7 as already-eliminated Brave secured a victory with three balls to spare.
Tristan Stubbs was instrumental for Southern Brave, hitting an unbeaten half-century with 52 runs from 28 balls. He shared a 70-run fourth-wicket stand with Marcus Stoinis, who contributed 46 runs off 25 balls.
The Rockets had posted a total of 158-5, with Mitchell Santner top-scoring with an unbeaten 35 off 23 balls. He shared an unbroken sixth-wicket partnership of 66 runs with Lewis Gregory, who made 28 not out from 18 balls.
Sunrisers Leeds, currently four points behind the Rockets, could now claim top spot if they defeat Manchester Super Giants at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
