Two men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing incident in south Belfast have been released on police bail.
Police were present in the Fitzroy Avenue area on Wednesday night, with a section of road taped off. The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service confirmed it received a 999 call at approximately 19:28 BST, with a rapid response paramedic and ambulance crew attending the scene.
Detective Inspector Harvey of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) stated that the victim sustained multiple puncture wounds to his chest and neck, and was bleeding from his left ear. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and the man is receiving hospital treatment.
Both men arrested are in their 20s. One of the men was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and theft. Police said the men were released on bail to allow for further enquiries, and the investigation is ongoing.
