A recent GetAgent survey reveals that the valuation appointment is a critical factor for sellers when deciding which estate agent to instruct. The research found that 86% of homeowners who sold in the past year consider this appointment important, with 47% describing it as very important.
The quality and presentation of an agent's valuation report also play a significant role. Almost six in 10 sellers, 59%, stated that these aspects influenced their choice of firm. Additionally, 69% said a professionally presented report would increase their confidence in an estate agent.
Speed of follow-up is another key expectation for sellers. Over half of those surveyed, 51%, anticipate receiving their valuation report within 24 hours of the appointment. Consistency in branding across valuation reports, websites, marketing materials, and communications also makes an agency appear more professional to 81% of sellers.
