The future of Real Madrid's Brazilian left winger, Vinicius Jr, is set to be decided this week. Premier League champions Arsenal are reportedly showing interest in a significant move for the 26-year-old.
Vinicius Jr, who is under contract with Real Madrid until 2027, is due to hold fresh talks with club officials today. Negotiations in Spain have reportedly stalled, having begun over a year ago.
Arsenal are said to be growing in confidence regarding a potential £128m transfer for Vinicius Jr. He is reportedly seeking a significant increase on his current £300,000 per week contract, with Arsenal reportedly prepared to offer a salary of £25m to bring him to London.
The resolution this week could lead to a new deal with the LaLiga club, or a move outside of Spain for the first time since he joined in 2018. Vinicius Jr has returned to pre-season preparations with Real Madrid ahead of their opening LaLiga match on 22 August.
