Warrington Wolves and Wakefield Trinity are set to compete in the Super League Grand Final on Saturday, 2 October 2026. This match will see a new club lift the trophy, as only five teams have previously won the Super League Grand Final.

Wakefield Trinity head coach Daryl Powell stated that his team needs to achieve the same performance level as their semi-final win against Wigan. Tom Johnstone, who rejoined Trinity in 2025, will be playing in his second Grand Final after a previous defeat with Catalans in 2023.

For Warrington, it has been 71 years since their last league title. Ben Currie, who has been with the club for their four previous Grand Final appearances in the Super League era, is yet to play in one. Eighteen-year-old Ewan Irwin, who has scored six tries and kicked 82 goals this season, has the opportunity to become the youngest player to score in a Grand Final.

Warrington's squad sees one change, with Jordy Crowther replacing Max Wood. Wakefield's squad remains unchanged from their semi-final victory against Wigan Warriors.
