Warwickshire have been crowned County Championship champions after a decisive victory over Leicestershire at Edgbaston on Saturday. The Bears secured the title by an innings and 79 runs.
Entering the third day, Warwickshire needed seven wickets to clinch the championship. Chris Woakes made an immediate impact, bowling Sol Budinger for 47 and later dismissing Jonathan Tattersall, caught by Rob Yates.
Leicestershire's batting line-up faltered as Ethan Bamber claimed the wickets of Ben Cox and Ben Green. Captain Ian Holland was trapped lbw by Ed Barnard, bringing Warwickshire closer to the title.
Despite a resilient final-wicket partnership for Leicestershire, Bamber ultimately bowled Tom Scriven for 49, completing his five-wicket haul and confirming Warwickshire as champions.
