Whoopi Goldberg, the long-serving moderator of ABC's daytime talk show 'The View', recently suggested that her paycheck from the programme would be a surprise to many. Appearing on actor Keke Palmer's podcast, Goldberg quipped that her favourite aspect of the job was "the check," adding that fans would be "shocked" by the amount.
Goldberg, 70, has been a moderator on 'The View' since 2007, holding the record for the most consecutive seasons as the show's host. While she did not disclose the exact figure, a recent report by Page Six Hollywood indicates she is the highest-paid panelist among her co-hosts, with an estimated annual earning of between $6 and $8 million.
Despite the substantial income, Goldberg expressed gratitude for the financial and career stability the show provides. In November 2024, she also spoke on 'The View' about needing to work to support her family, including her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
