Former Wales captain Ashley Williams and ex-Swansea boss Alan Sheehan have joined Craig Bellamy's backroom staff as assistant coaches. The appointments come ahead of Wales' upcoming Nations League campaign.
Williams, 42, a retired defender, earned 86 caps for Wales and notably captained the side during their run to the Euro 2016 semi-final. This marks his first senior coaching role, having previously been involved with Wales age group camps.
Sheehan, 39, joins the coaching staff nearly a year after his departure as head coach from Swansea in November 2025. He brings prior experience as an assistant coach from roles at Swansea, Southampton, and Luton Town.
These additions follow the departures of James Rowberry and Piet Cremers from Bellamy's backroom staff. Rowberry stepped down due to commitments with Stoke City, while Cremers left in July to become head coach at Club NXT. Andrew Crofts remains in his assistant coach role.
