Wolves and West Bromwich Albion have issued a joint warning to supporters ahead of their first league meeting in five years, stressing that violence and disorder will carry serious consequences. The Championship match is scheduled for Sunday at Molineux.
The clubs highlighted trouble at an FA Cup meeting in 2024, where 43 people were arrested, 12 were charged and sentenced, and five received permanent club bans. Play was halted for 38 minutes during that match after police were assaulted, missiles were thrown, and flares were set off.
For Sunday's game, supporters can expect enhanced stewarding, policing, robust ticketing controls, and additional safety measures. The clubs also reminded fans that engaging in violence, discriminatory behaviour, entering the pitch, throwing missiles, or using pyrotechnics risks arrest, prosecution, football banning orders, and long-term or permanent exclusion.
Fans are advised to use officially bought tickets, sit in designated areas, and arrive early for security checks. Anyone attempting to access or found in an incorrect area will be refused entry or ejected and may face further sanctions.
