The new Women's Super League (WSL) season is scheduled to commence on Friday, September 4, with London City Lionesses facing Manchester United. The match at Hayes Lane is expected to feature two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas and goalkeeper Mary Earps, who returns to the WSL with London City after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

WSL champions Manchester City, having added Beth Mead and Niamh Charles to their squad, will kick off their title defence against WSL2 champions Birmingham. Birmingham was promoted to the top flight alongside Charlton and Crystal Palace, as the league expands to 14 teams.

Other opening weekend fixtures include Arsenal against Brighton, Tottenham hosting West Ham, Chelsea welcoming Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace playing Everton. Charlton, who secured promotion via a playoff win over Leicester, will play Liverpool at home.

The full fixture list was announced following a complex scheduling process, which involved over 1.5 billion iterations to accommodate stadium availability and broadcast windows across various football competitions.
