Day two of the Ebor Festival 2026 at York Racecourse features the Group One Yorkshire Oaks for fillies and mares as its highlight. The race, scheduled for 3.35, is part of the Ladies’ Day card.
This year's Yorkshire Oaks is expected to be a competitive event, with Kalpana, the King George winner from Ascot last month, heading the field. Minnie Hauk, who won the race last year, is also set to provide strong opposition. Three-year-old Johanna Walsh, an impressive four-length winner of the Irish Oaks, is another notable contender.
Legacy Link, the Musidora winner in May, is also in the running, following the success of Item in yesterday’s International Stakes, which highlighted the importance of track form. The going on the Knavesmire is currently good-to-soft after 2.8mm of overnight rain.
Additional races this afternoon include the Goffs Half Million sales race at 2.25 and the Group Two Lowther Stakes for juvenile fillies, which will commence at 1.50.
