British rapper and YouTuber Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is to face a retrial on three rape charges in Australia. This follows a jury's inability to reach a decision on these charges last month, although he was cleared of several other sexual assault offences.

Mr Barrientos was charged with repeatedly raping and assaulting a fan in Perth in 2024, after a performance at a nightclub. He had denied all 10 charges.

Last month, a jury found him not guilty on three counts of sexual penetration without consent, and he was acquitted of one assault charge and another of strangulation. However, he was found guilty of two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, for which sentencing will occur after his retrial.

A West Australian court heard that the 31-year-old social media star had consensual sex with a 20-year-old fan in his hotel room, before she alleged he became violent and ignored her pleas to stop.

Mr Barrientos is scheduled to appear in court on 27 August for an application to vary his bail. A date for the retrial has not yet been set.
