Country singer Zach Bryan and his band wore "Free Palestine" T-shirts during their performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on October 2. The shirts were worn as Bryan took to the stage for the first of two dates on his 'With Heaven On Tour' trek.
This choice has drawn attention as Gillette Stadium is owned by the Kraft Group, led by Robert Kraft. Kraft was previously central to a controversy involving rapper Macklemore, who was removed from Ed Sheeran’s US tour and barred from performing at Gillette Stadium following his pro-Palestine statements.
Macklemore had delivered a speech expressing solidarity with Palestinians and performed his protest track 'Hind’s Hall' at MetLife Stadium in September. Following calls for his removal, Kraft stated that Macklemore's performances were "deeply offensive and hurtful to the Jewish community."
Bryan is scheduled to play a second sold-out night at Gillette Stadium tonight, October 3.
